Question How many.....

of you still have your XPS 700?

I know I've been away for a while, but trust me my heart has always been here with you all.

I still have and am still using my 700/720 Beast, and the only thing I have replaced since setting it up has been the dual vid cards, mine finally went south after 4 years of nonstop operation. I'm getting ready to upgrade the OS, but other than that, the Beast, my name for my machine, is still humming along nicely. I was just curious as to how many of us still had and were still using theirs.

HUGS to all,

Stuck

Mine is long gone to Stitch, who I think is still using it! Now a strictly DIY Household.

My XPS has been retired. I have a custom water cooled machine now.

I still use an XPS 730x. It is the replacement for my 700-720 after many dead motherboards and failed repair attempts. I've upgraded the RAM, graphics cards, and added a Corsair H5o cooling system.

Still got my 700-720. All original EQ except MB exchange. Had to reinstall Win XP SP3. One Raid drive having problems - ditched Raid 0. Have 3 identical drives operating at 3 different temperatures - 34, 38, & 46 C even with the HD fan operating. Dell located the HDs right under the power supply that has no fan. I think the high PS temp is effecting the HDs. The 46c HD is right under the hottest part of the PS. Dumb location. No fan in the PS is also dumb.
