My condolences to the US fans. It was a fun game to watch, with lots of opportunities for both sides. I believe the result was fair, with only the bitter taste of the last minutes in which Ghana was wasting time to prevent any further US goals. That said, I believe any team would have done the same (including the US) specially after almost 130 minutes of play!!!
For my part, I believe South America is in a great spot right now, and we have already sent Uruguay to the next stage and between Brazil and Chile one for sure is bound to pass, so our Soccer skills have shone brightly this World Cup. My country lost their place early on by being stupid enough to think that by loosing early in the qualifying rounds they would boycott the previous coach that would lead to him being replaced. That part worked for them like a charm, the coach was changed, but they were too late to regain a good spot. We ended just behind Uruguay, so we are deservedly out of this World Cup. Let's see how things turn out. Rafa.

Officiating has been absolutely horrible. Nevertheless ..... Germany and Argentina both proved that they were the better teams.
Now .... If Messi could only score!!! .... I'd say that he's saving it for Germany! The only player on the Argentinian team I am still not sure of is the goalie .... I think that Germany could make him Argentina's achilles heel. EDIT/Adding: World Cup Sets New Twitter Record: 3.2K Tweets per Second! Peace

Well, Asia is out and 4 out of the final 8 will be from S. America with 3 European and only 1 African team.
Chile was the first S. Am team to go out and with no goals in eliminations round. Watching Cesar yesterday makes me want to switch from Argentina back to my Brazil team! Regardless, I'd say the finals will be between the A-B teams. EDIT/Adding: 7 of 8 World Cup group leaders advance to Quarter Finals.... all but USA Peace
